evidence layer
Portfolio validation software helps investment teams challenge an optimized allocation before it becomes a recommendation. The strongest workflows separate portfolio construction from validation, compare more than one methodology, and test classical allocations on data that was not used to fit them.
Decision architecture
Validation is a decision layer — not another optimizer
A portfolio optimizer answers ‘what allocation does this method produce?’ A validation layer asks the harder question: ‘how much confidence should we place in that answer?’ Q72 keeps those two jobs visible and separate.

Classical portfolios are re-derived using only information available at each historical step
What to look for
Professional validation, broken into parts.
The useful criteria are structural: what is compared, what information is available, how assumptions remain visible, and whether the evidence can survive review.
Multiple methodologies
Compare construction logic instead of accepting one engine as truth.
Same-mandate comparison
Keep the asset universe, capital and constraints constant while the methodology changes.
Out-of-sample testing
Evaluate classical allocations beyond the data used to derive them.
Constraint awareness
Position limits and allocation rules stay visible as part of the mandate.
Explainable outputs
Keep methodology, assumptions and validation evidence reviewable.
Professional reporting
Turn the comparison into a decision artifact for review and discussion.
Where Q72 fits
A validation layer for professional portfolio decisions.
Portfolio managers, wealth managers, family offices, EAMs and investment teams that need to explain why one construction approach was selected over another.

Common questions
Clear answers, without hiding the caveats.
Q72 separates classical walk-forward validation from quantum-refined historical replay so the evidence standard remains explicit.
What is portfolio validation software?
Software that tests whether an optimized portfolio remains credible beyond the data and assumptions used to construct it. In professional workflows, validation can also compare multiple construction methods under the same mandate.
Is portfolio validation the same as backtesting?
No. A backtest can describe how a fixed strategy or allocation behaved historically. Out-of-sample validation specifically separates the data used to construct a portfolio from the data used to evaluate it.
Does Q72 validate every output out of sample?
Q72’s four classical engines are evaluated with walk-forward out-of-sample validation. Quantum-refined historical performance is labelled separately because it replays the final live weights over recent history rather than re-running quantum hardware at every historical rebalance.
